Vintage black and yellow tin publicity shop display – metal advertising sign for Chicorée Mondiale. This Art Deco Sign is dated 1927. The Letters are pressed into the metal, what gives relief to the sign. This Sign – license plate sized – was made by Rob. Otten – Brussels – Belgium and the Tax was payed in Brussels – 652/1927/50. Coffee was a very expensive product in the 1920s, so Chicorée was a cheaper alternative . These days Chicory – Succory is used for the health.
