Early 20th Century Pawn Brokers Trade Sign from Edinburgh UK An oversized and authentic aged example of an early 20th Century pawn brokers wooden and cast metal trade sign. The section carved wooden balls have aged over the years of being outside, with crackled gold paint and worn surface areas revealing the wooden sections underneath. The cast metal frame has its support wall bolt bracket in place so can be attached to the wall as shown. The black metal painted frame has worn away in places to reveal old gold paint underneath, some gold paint has later been added on the surface also which we have left as it shown in the photos provided. Surfaces are worn and missing detail of painted areas, this item is in good condition for its age and use, The ball support chains and brackets are rusty, and the left side bolt is a little bent for some reason, but this entire item is very secure and firmly in place. Recently removed from a demolition project in Edinburgh Scotland. The weight is more than 25kg and its quite a large piece, which is reflected in the shipping costs provided.
